Heartfelt praise and worship, a casual, loving, and secure environment, speakers who address real life issues from a Biblical perspective, drama, testimonies, prayer, and relationships...these are what you can expect when you attend God Encounters. This service for women of Calvary, their friends, and women of the community meets the third Tuesday night of each month in Calvary's Worship Center.


Speaking words of Grace - Communicating with Difficult People
Dr. Richard Maas, Counselor, Forsyth Medical Center Communication requires knowing what to speak, when to speak, and how to speak. But it is equally important to learn how and when to listen. Dr. Maas will instruct us on how to communicate in ways that bring about God's best for our lives, especially when dealing with difficult people or situations.


Extra Grace Required! Understanding and Appreciating Teenagers
Panel Discussion with Kathy Sapp, Flossie Castle, Joe and Beth Lineberry, Various Teen Testimonies It can be the best of times or the worst of times. Some would compare life with a teenager to a seven year ride on an emotional roller coaster. Unfortunately, we become so preoccupied anticipating the up hill climb and sudden drop that we forget the fun and excitement of each twist, turn, and loop de loop. Whether you are a parent of a teen or someone who works with teenagers, you will not want to miss this month's God Encounters as Flossie Castle, Beth and Joe Lineberry, Kathy Sapp and Debbie Sheppard discuss with us ways to understand and appreciate the teens in our lives. These relationships and situations require redeeming love and the hope and grace that God pours out on those who trust and follow Him. Whether you have a blended family, single-parent family, step-family, or traditional family, you will benefit greatly from this evening as we discuss how to navigate family life, especially when the "unexpected" happens.


Grace to Be Whole - A Woman's Physical Health
Dr. Alicia Beal with various testimonies. Topics that will be addressed are: how God works in a Christian woman's life as she walks through physical trials, taking care of God's temple which is her body, the role of faith in physical health, the connection of prayer and healing, and how Christian women process sickness, suffering, and mortality. Dr. Alicia Beal will share her insights on these topics from a Christian perspective. We will also hear testimonies from various women who have come to know God more deeply through physical illness.

Dr. Gary Chapman will share Biblical, practical insights into the mind, heart, and soul of a man. Whether you're married or single, Dr. Chapman will help us as we seek to have God-honoring relationships with our husband, friends, co-workers, or family members. Renea Henderson enjoys making people laugh but also drives home inspirational truths about receiving God�s grace and the joy that accompanies His goodness.
